Gretchen, James, and Maya visit

We had a fun visit with Gretchen, Koeppe and Maya. Maya had a fashionable dress on in support of baby Anna that Gretchen had decorated. Maya was very eager to spend time with the baby, touch her, hold her....
Tuesday: We had our 2nd baby appointment today and continued to hear very encouraging feedback. The doctors have no concerns, her weight is up 2.5 ounces, color is wonderful. In addition they noted she has very strong legs and is a very layed back little girl.

We just grilled out with Natalie's mother and apparently we will be watching American Idol in the near minutes or basketball if you are the only male in the house....

We want to welcome visitors to our house whenever it is convenient for you..Just call ahead at 859-351-9711 (Rupe) to let us know you are on your way. Tomorrow we have a doctor's appointment in Lexington at 3:45 p.m. so we will probably be out late afternoon.
God bless,
Anthony

Anna Mae's Room

Welcome to Anna Mae's room. Thanks to paint from Ryan and Aimee Fox, decorating from Natalie and lots of help from Grandma Richardson washing, ironing and putting items away, Anna has a super special place to call hers. She doesn't call it hers yet, it is just another stop along the feeding road for her. Any room seems to be the best room for her if it comes to sleeping, eating, or pooping. She is not too picky at this time.

Daddy is crazy about his little girl!

The first night was not too bad..Everyone was right, it is long, you don't sleep much, but little to no crying and lots of feeding for Anna. Natalie and I layed awake most of the night. In between feedings, one of us usually let Anna fall asleep on our chest. Can't sleep with a fan on anymore, cause we need to hear every little noise.
We went to our first pediatric appointment this morning and the doctor had zero concerns. We were very thankful and blessed for that. Anna is sleeping much deeper today which leads me to believe that it will be a long night, figuring her nights and days are mixed up.
We are back at home now resting and not looking for too many visits today. But by tomorrow we are open to visits, hoping to be a little more adjusted to lack of sleep and baby life.
May God bless and keep you,
Anthony

Lots More Visitors

Rich, Uncle Tony, Aunt Betty, grandbaby Tre, Uncle Jeff, Cousin Jacki, Uncle Jack and Aunt Faye

Shannon, Jakolbi and Grandma Richardson

We had a fun visit as Jakolbi was so good with the baby!

Will, Meaghan, and Dede visit

Welcome Home Anna Mae

We got to leave the hospital about 4 p.m. Sunday (today) and it was fantastic to see the sunshine and head home to our cozy home, catch up with the neighbors, eat some yummy home cooked food (thanks Michele/Mom), water the grass, eat more doughnuts, and drink some milk. Natalie has been so nurturing to little Anna, feeding her every couple of hours. Anna is nursing with relative ease at this point. The diapers are festive, regular, and a good way for Anthony to help out. Bryan, Amanda, and Ava walked over to visit us tonight and it was wonderful to see them.

Once again, Daddy has truly enjoyed the doughnuts that Ann, Shannon, Jakolbi, Michele, and Dede all brought today. He might not fit into his summer swimtrunks, but who cares right, he is a happy dad now...

Thanks again for all your prayers and phone calls. The support and care have been so meaningful to us.

God Bless
